| Question
5: How are the brakes controlled?
•
The front brake lever is controlled by your right-hand fingers and
controls braking to the front wheel. The front brake is the most
effective brake on a motorcycle. The front brake lever is squeezed
in to control braking. Squeezed in, not pulled in abruptly.
•
The rear brake is pressed to apply braking to the rear wheel.
•
Learn to use both brakes
together, it helps with braking control and creates a good habit
pattern so if both brakes are necessary for an emergency stop, applying
both brakes is second-nature. |
