Overview 2: The location of the primary controls

The primary controls are manipulated by your hands and feet. They control your ability to turn, accelerate, shift, and brake. The primary controls are displayed below.

The primary controls are the: handlebars, throttle, cluch, gearshift, front brake and rear brake.

Not much help remembering where they are from the info above, so how about we look at them like this? We will split the bike into it's left and right side componets.

The left side has the shifting controls -- the clutch and the gearshift.

The right side has the speed controls -- the throttle and brakes (hand - front brake, foot - rear brake).

Simple and functional. We will discuss the primary controls in more detail later, but for now, you know there they are located, and are ready to move on.

Lets look at what your thumbs control.
