RidingSafety.com’s Experienced RC Checklist

Want to make sure you bring what you need to course?  Print this checklist and check off the items... you’ll arrive with everything you need.

Before class

  Read the Release, Waiver, and Indemnification Form
  Read the Training Rules

Range day (class starts promptly at 7:45 AM, all paperwork must be checked before class begins, so be on Range by 7:30)

  Paperwork

-- Valid photo driver license with motorcycle endorsement
-- Current motorcycle registration
-- Current motorcycle insurance

  Riding gear:

-- Helmet -- DOT (Department of Transportation) approved
-- Eye protection [goggles, face shields, impact resistant glasses all authorized]
-- Long sleeves [shirt and/or jacket]
-- Full fingered gloves
-- Long pants (no flared bottoms or cuffs)
-- Ankle protecting footwear
-- Rain gear -- we ride even if it rains.

 Your motorcycle

-- You must be the owner of the motorcycle you are riding (no loaners). Insurance and registration must be in your name [exception -- when motorcycle is owned by spouse]
-- Motorcycle must be roadworthy (good tires, working brakes, bike burns more gas than oil, etc)
-- Tire pressure checked according to MOM (Motorcycle Owner's Manual) to ensure proper inflation
-- Suspension set for how you usually ride

  Water (keep hydrated) / Snack food (if desired, no vending machines available on range)

  If you have all the blocked checked above, you have everything you need for the course!!!
